Show #301: All the Worst
In honor of 300 shows of miserable radio, today’s edition remembers all those games that never made it to regular rotation. They include Church Father Or…, Page for points, and 20 questions.
In honor of 300 shows of miserable radio, today’s edition remembers all those games that never made it to regular rotation. They include Church Father Or…, Page for points, and 20 questions.
For show number 300 (and partly because we’re just way too busy leaving the country) we have compiled four segments from four entirely different shows that have fond memories for our Table Talk Radio listeners. We hope you enjoy these Table Talk Radio moments.
Before heading off to Madagascar, which is just an excuse to do a “best of” show, Bryan and Evan toss out a few Buzzwords and try to answer some of your emails. Then they attempt to play three games, “If you like it then you'd better put the best construction on it” “Translating Evangelicalisms” and the “Name That Game” game.
In a brand new game, Bryan and Evan try to make the distinction between addressing false doctrine with a teacher and addressing it with one who has been led into false belief. They also play “Preaching to Hollywood” with the song “Rude” by Magic. Finally the end up playing 10 Commandments in the News.
In this edition of Table Talk Radio, we get an update from the OCB then play “Name that Theologian” followed by #theology (Pastor Wolfmueller’s favorite game).
Pastor Kachelmeier takes up some of the common objections to and arguments against the Holy Trinity. Thanks to Dan at Lutheran Time Out for the bump music. Check out http://www.lutherantimeout.org/2010/03/time-out-episode-57/
Listening to today’s top pop music, Pastors Wolfmueller and Goeglein try to make head or tails of what they are saying theologically in the game “Preaching to Hollywood.” In the second half of the program, Pastor Brian Kachelmeier returns to challenge Pastor Wolfmeuller in a game of Bible Bee.
In this round of the Praise Song Cruncher, Pastor Wolfmueller learns a new word while crunching the songs “Rise and Sing” by Passion and “I Will Rise” by Chris Tomlin. In the last segment of the program we play “bumper sticker theology” and “church sign theology.”
We don’t know what we’re doing today. We just play a bunch of games as submitted on our Facebook Fan Page.
Can you tell if a song you hear on the radio is Christian or Secular? That’s what Pastor Wolfueller attempts to do in today’s edition of Table Talk Radio. Then, Pastor Mark Pierson talks about his recent blog post which responds to Bart Ehrman’s new book “How Jesus Became God.” Check out Pastor Pierson’s blog post here: http://www.newreformationpress.com/blog/2014/05/09/god-dies/ Also check out: http://1517ataglance.com/
