Show #410: The Easter Crunch Continued
As if crunching praise songs wasn’t enough for 1 week, we continued to crunch praise songs for the second week of Easter. How many weeks does Easter last again?
Using an article authored by Pastor Wolfmueller entitled “Criteria for Discerning the Usefulness of Praise Songs” (http://www.hope-aurora.org/docs/praisesongcruncher.pdf) we listen to a praise song (or other Christian song) and read the lyrics and by asking the 5 diagnostic questions, determine it’s usefulness in the church.
As if crunching praise songs wasn’t enough for 1 week, we continued to crunch praise songs for the second week of Easter. How many weeks does Easter last again?
It turns out that the Easter praise songs are as empty as the grave of Jesus. We’ll prove it!
On this episode of Table Talk Radio after we discuss our Buzzwords Guilt and Incurvatus In Se, and answer a listener email about Relational Evangelism, we Continue our Praise Song Cruncher Marathon by looking at Make You Move as sung by the worship team at Bethel church. It’s just mystical beyond all knowing!

Who ever thought that LIVE video would make good radio? We did that's who! On this edition of Table Talk Radio you will get to hear the audio portion of our first ever Facebook LIVE show. How mediocre is that? And on this episode we will run the song All Because Of Jesus by Casting Crowns through the olde Praise Song Cruncher and see how it fairs. Then we will take a trip through Pastor Wolfmueller's office and play What's In Your Pastor's Library. Finally, we will do a little Preaching To Hollywood as we look at the Taylor Swift song The New Romantic. So, close your eyes and imagine your watching us LIVE on FB ... but not if your driving!!!!!
On this edition of Table Talk Radio, after discussion the buzzwords Conciliarism and Nihilism, how fun is that, we will play a spirited game of Name That Theologian and discuss the Office of the Holy Ministry and the Marks of the Church (did you know there were 7?). Then as we attempt to answer a listener voicemail we will play Praise Song Cruncher and look at te song I'm Trading My Sorrows. As usual this episode has no meaning or purpose. Well, actually it does, but we cant tell you what it is!!
On this edition of Table Talk Radio we will play Praise Song Cruncher as we respond to listener emails. Listener #3 (or is it #4) from Australia offers up the song See His Love from Jesus Culture and This I Believe by Hillsong. We will also Preach To Hollywood as we review My Church by Maren Morris.
You'd better have a fire extinguisher handy because the Edition of Table Talk Radio is on FIRE!! Join us as we answer some listener email by playing the Praise Song Cruncher 2.0. And as an added bonus you'll learn some of the steps for writing a successful Praise Song. Just remember Hallelujah rhymes with ... Hallelujah, and something in your song needs to be on FIRE!!!!! Sit back, relax (if you can) and enjoy some of the best mediocre radio on the internet.
Could the Hymns of the Church survive the Praise Song Cruncher? On today's episode Pastors Wolfmueller and Goeglein respond to a listeners email by playing "Praise Song Cruncher". They run the sentence fragmenty, mystically Chris Tomlin song "Forever" through the Cruncher first and then they attempt to answer the listener question, "Could the Hymns of the Church survive a pass through the Praise Song Cruncher?" ... Finally, the same listener email inspires a quick game of Bible Bee. Is this good radio/podcasting, or what?
After some buzzwords it is time once again to crunch on some praise songs. On this episode we run “Hold Me” by Toby Mack through the Praise Song Cruncher and ask, “Is Jesus holding you?” and then we run “A New Creation” by Bel Thompson through the Cruncher. Will these songs pass? Listen and see! And just ignore all the buzz about playing Bible Bee. Sorry, we just ran out of time.
